Lembuswana is a significant figure in Indonesian mythology, particularly in the folklore of East Kalimantan. Lembuswana is a golden-colored figure with the form of a bull or cow wearing a crown on its head, possessing a trunk and tusks like an elephant, wings that flap like a garuda, claws and spurs resembling a rooster with a body covered in scales like a dragon.
According to legend, Lembuswana was the mount of King Mulawarman, a powerful ruler of the Kutai Kingdom, which flourished in the 4th century. Lembuswana is believed to have possessed extraordinary strength and magical abilities, making it a formidable creature in both the physical and spiritual realms.
In some stories, Lembuswana is also associated with water and is believed to have the ability to control rivers and lakes.
