More model informationA piece of Lewissian Gneiss from the Isle of Iona. This is a very old (Archean) gneiss, and has been altered so much that I’ve seen it called a migmatitite. The green streaks are likely epidote that occured locally sometime during the geologic history of Iona. I found this piece during my mapping of Northern Iona with the University of St Andrews Field Camp during the summer of 2019.
