Lighthouse Porthole Window Section

This 3D model derived from terrestrial laser scanning survey and 3D heritage preservation and documentation project of the Cape Canaveral Light Station (lighthouse, oil house, and replica Keeper Dwelling and Keeper Store Room). This detailed model shows a section view of the porthole window set into the iron wall. The window and exterior panel section were 3D scanned with a structured light instrument for high resolution detail. The interior brick wall, ceiling, and floor section of the lighthouse were also scanned with the same technique and combined with exterior. Brick course fill- not visible to scanner- is added for effect based on measured drawings indicating three layers with a 1.5 inch gap between cast iron exterior and brick interior.
