More model informationThis lime kiln (Grade II listed) stands on the shore overlooking the beach at St Bride’s Haven, on the southern shore of St Brides Bay, Pembrokeshire.
Its original function was for burning limestone, which was imported by ship, the lime produced from this process was then spread on fields to enhance their productivity and counteract the naturally acidic soils of the area.
The lime kiln was recorded on the 29th June 2022 using a DJI Mini2 drone and is listed in the National Monuments Record of Wales (NPRN544131) https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/544131/
