More model information- Pollen from small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata, Malvaceae).
- Studies of fossil pollen have shown that lime trees used to be major components of primary forests across much of northern and central Europe, but started declining around 6,000 years ago. Stands of lime trees are still considered an indicator of ancient woodland in Britain.
- Technical description of Tilia cordata pollen, from PalDat (Halbritter, 2017): medium-sized isopolar monads, oblate or cup-shaped, circular in polar view, tricolporate, with a reticulate and perforate exine.
