17 October 2019. One of the most northerly panels in the UK mainland, in a stunning location, being a large erratic boulder perched on a low cliff/bank at the S edge of Lochan Hakel close to the crannog. The boulder is approximately 2.8m x 1.3m x 2.4m high with a flattish top. The rock is probably a garnet gneiss, comprising a mass of large (0.5 to 1.0cm) degraded garnets, which are hard and weather to give the rock a knobbly surface. Some of the cups are deeply incised with clear rings. The weather was bright and sunny, and I have therefore processed this model of the whole boulder to include a detailed texture file, using the natural lighting and with little post processing. I have also processed a more detailed model of the carved surface only without texture to show the motifs and actual surface of the rock see https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/lochan-hakel-carved-surface-only-51c8f913c494411fbf6bc3903b8ce2ad
