As part of my 3D animation module, I was assigned to create a character model of one of my class mates designs. The character, Log Puppet Lynette, is a living puppet who comes with no strings attached… literally. She likes to dance and make people happy but isn’t afraid to show off her sassy side when the opportunity comes. The character was made using Blender and textured in substance painter. Blenders rigify rig was used to animate the character. This rig provided a much easier set up for adjusting bones and creating smoother animations. For the different actions, reference animations were downloaded from Mixamo and followed as closely as possible.
Modelled to human scale. Ready for use in a game/animation scene.
