More model informationThis near complete loomweight would have been used with vertical warp-weighted looms. Triangular shaped loomweights are most commonly associated with Iron Age activity. It was recovered, along with a possible second loomweight, in postholes within roundhouses and possibly represent foundation or closing deposits associated with the use of the roundhouse.
