Material: Gold
Dimensions: 2 cm
Dating: 2293-2206 BCE
The ring was composed of a gold wire with a thickness of approximately one millimetre, which was bent in the centre to form a loop. The ring is doubled and consists of two turns. Despite the round cross-section of the wire, the folded part is flat. The piece features a twist ending. The presence of such small rings in graves, which were found closer to the head of the buried individuals, indicates that these objects were worn on the head. It can be presumed that the artefacts were utilised as either hair jewellery or as an integral component of a textile piece, such as a hair band.
