Lost Stones of Strathtay - Craig Hill 1881 (3/4)

This very small rock is possibly CR1 (3) or (4) in DES 2004, but it may be a newly found one as it does not fully fit either description.

The rock is a small outcrop just 1m E of Craighill 729 - essentially a continuation of 729 if the interventing heather were stripped off. This rock is unusual as the cup marks are all very small - mostly 2-3cm. It also appears to have a very unusual, possibly unique motif. This is a pentagon of 2cm cup marks, all conjoined by slightly shallower grooves, with a further connecting groove linking to a sixth cup mark just outside of the pentagon. The whole grouping is completely ringed, with the ring having a bulge to accomodate the sixth cup mark.

There are also another 4 cup marks on the rock, one being ringed.
