More model informationStained glass memorial window to Sir Thomas Lovell KG, in the south aisle of St Andrews Church, Enfield. Thomas Lovell was Chancellor of the Exchequer to Henry VII and occupied Elsyng Palace in the north of Enfield from c1487 to his death in 1524. He was interred in Holywell Priory, Shoreditch, which he had patronised as well as St Andrews. The much-damaged window originally showed the priory’s nuns praying for his soul on either side of his tomb. The coat of arms above belong to the Earl of Rutland, Thomas Manners, who inherited Elsyng and eventually sold it to Henry VIII
