Yet another small prehistoric carved rock in the Low Plain area of Baildon Moor, West Yorkshire.
This example was referenced ‘IAG 152’ by Boughey & Vickerman in their 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’. The CSI: Rombalds Moor Project, subsequently added the record to ERA as ‘Low Plain 05’ in 2013. Both archives draw similar motifs, with eight cups of varying size, two of which form a dumbbell. However, the CSI team suggest a partial ring / arc around one cup. It isn’t clear from this model, whether the partial ring / arc is carved or natural fracturing of the stone.

This decimated model was created from four stereo pairs captured by Peter Butler (CSI Team) in May 2012. The imagery forms part of the HLF funded CSI: Rombalds Moor / Watershed Landscape Project archive.
