Prehistoric carved rock found in the Low Plain area on Baildon Moor, West Yorkshire.
Referenced ‘IAG 175’ in Boughey & Vickerman’s 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’. CSI: Rombalds Moor Project subsequently recorded it ‘Low Plain 25’ on ERA in 2012, describing:
‘…Panel is known to have been progressively partially excavated between 2009 - 2012. Panel is carved with one small circular cup approx 3.5cm diameter, one slightly deeper slightly oval cup 5cm x 5.5cm, one possible carved oval cup 5cm x 7cm with sharp edge to SE. There are also unusual deep hollows / depressions on the rock which are possibly the result of water erosion prior to glacial deposition.’
