An example of a low-resolution 3D model generated through topographic mapping with a drone (UAV/UAS) and structure from motion. This high-resolution photogrammetric technique provides CGS with color surfaces that exceed LiDAR in resolution. Model is anchored in geographic space with RTK GPS ground control points. High-resolution models like this may be used to inspect and prioritize revetments, for sea level rise planning, and for beach restoration design.
