Lustre painted relief tile stained cobalt and turquoise
Inscribed Ibn Ja’far ibn Muhammad, probably referring to the Shi’a imams, Muhammad al-Baqir and Jafar al-Saqid Iran, Kashan, late 13th century.
Part of a group of tiles dateable AD 1270-5 associated with the palace of Takht-i-sulayman built by the Il-Khan Abaqa Khan.
