More model informationThe M14 Rifle was the US service weapon upon America’s entry into the Vietnam war and is chambered in 7.62x51 NATO. The infantry found this weapon ill suited to the harsh environment of the Vietnamese jungles. This weapon was replaced by the Colt m16 Assault rifle shortly after but remained in service in Sniper and Marksman roles and is still in service today.
