More model informationThe Makara is a symbolic cohesion of elements made up of two creatures possessing special qualities. In the form of an elephant and fish - the symbols of powerful animals - carved from a large boulder; the Makara (usually in pairs) was previously used as decorations of the main entrance of a building, such as in a candi (temple). This Makara was found at Kampung Sungai Mas, Kuala Muda in Kedah, believed to be from the 7th century.
