These models demonstrate the morphological differences between the male and female mandibles (lower jaw), which can help estimate the individual’s sex.

Compared to the female mandible, which is usually smaller and rounded, the male mandible tends to be larger, rectangular-shaped, and more robust than the female mandible.

It is important to note that although these morphological differences are generally observed, there is still variability between individuals, and combining multiple morphological indicators is often recommended.
