In attempting to make the design sleeker, current president and CEO; Jim Nickels noted that the charger port had to go since the headphone jack was being brought back.

Please note that the scratches, fingerprints and dents in the phone are fully intended to be present by the manufacturers. “We thought it to be a good way to prove that we don’t intend to back down from adding new and much needed features to our phone. A few people on the internet have expressed disapproval at the idea, but at the end of the day, this is one company with courage.” Added Jim.
