Statue of the Daughter of the Regiment A scan made by Revopoint POP2 of a small statue of the “Daughter of the Regiment” (Marketentster - Vivandière). In the town of Leopoldsburg there is an actual large statue of this “Daughter of the Regiment” (Marketentster - Vivandière) in the center. These ladies were active in the ‘Camp de Beverloo’. These ladies followed the troops and provided the soldiers during intervals with refreshing drinks and goods. The are mostly pictured carrying a small barrel attached by a sling to their body. The Museum of the Camp de Beverlo displays some pictures of these ladies. There is also a “coco-set” on display. This apparatus has the looks of a flamethrower; carried on the back and used to contain and dispense drinks. Will be scanned also.
