This piece was a bit of practice to refine my skills and test where I’m at with my modelling and textures. It was pretty fun to model, but I had to go through a lot of troubleshooting to get things the way I wanted. Being a game ready asset, I minimised the poly count to only capture essential details. The baking was definitely one of the harder parts of this entire model, lots of errors with the lighting and rendering which I wasn’t happy with at all till I finally got a decent result. Learned a lot in the process, but there’s definitely room to improve with regards to modelling as well as the textures, as some parts like the screws in my opinion could do with some work.
