The Mateus Palace (Palácio de Mateus) is a historic estate in the parish of Mateus, Vila Real, Portugal. It comprises three main structures: the manor, the winery, and the chapel. The winery dates back to the 16th century, with significant modifications in the 1800s. The palace itself, designed by architect Nicolau Nasoni, was constructed in the 18th century, likely between 1739 and 1743, under the authorization of António José Botelho Mourão, the 3rd Morgado of Mateus. It replaced an earlier family residence from the early 1600s. In 1910, it was designated a National Monument and is currently managed by the Mateus Foundation. The palace also inspired the name for the famous Mateus rosé wine.
