Á höfuðkúpu úr kirkjugarðinum á Kirkjuhóli í Mosfellsdal voru tvö áberandi höggför eftir eggvopn sem bendir til þess að einstaklingurinn hafi verið myrtur eða drepinn í bardaga. Geislakolsmælingar benda til þess að hann hafi verið fæddur á milli 805-970 og drepinn á tímabilinu 890-990.

The skull of a man found at the Kirkjuhóll cemetery in Mosfells valley shows that he was murdered by high force impact from a heavy bladed weapon to the cranium. The blow caused a large, gaping entry wound, which clearly resulted in the man’s death. Carbon dating showed that he was born sometime between AD 805 and 970 and was killed sometime between AD 890-990.
