Dieses typisch römische Trinkgefäß wurde während den Ausgrabungen des Projektes “Mautern Römerweg” in der Verfüllung des großen Wasserkanals aufgefunden. Es zeichnet sich sowohl durch seinen hervorragenden Erhaltungszustand, als auch durch seine enorme Größe mit einem Mündungsdurchmesser von 12,5 cm aus.
This typical roman drinking vessel was unearthed in the context of the excavations “Mautern Römerweg” at the site of the ancient castrum favianis at the danubian limes. It was found within the infill of the elongated roman drainage system running towards the danube river.
