Meandering through time

3D Model

This model was built by tracking the channel banks of a meandering river through time and ‘plotting’ time on the vertical axis. The lower part of the 3D shape has low sinuosity, but the sinusoity increases toward the top (= through time). Cutoffs are represented as well. This is a side-product of a project on meandering systems that I am working on with Cole Speed.
