Medical Teaching Model (Syphilis) 3D Model
A wax model on display in the Canada Science and Technology Museum. I built with a cellphone camera and Regard3d (http://www.regard3d.org/), just as a test. Much better quality is probably possible; this was just me playing with the workflow (for the purposes of my teaching). A bit of digging was required to add exif metadata to the phone camera pictures. See electricarchaeology.ca
Regarding the wax model - One of a series, these were originally made for use in a teaching hospital in France in the 19th century, to show the symptoms of syphilis. Apparently the models made their way to Canada in the early 20th century where a eugenics promoting organization used them for their odious purposes…
