More model informationI initially wanted to create a crossbow without texture limitations ,this model uses a few 4k textures to get the best quality. I took quite a bit of inspiration from Amicia’s crossbow from Plague Tale, especially with the paint on the top of the bow. As I created the bow I realised I wanted to take it further and retopologise and texture that asset so that it was game ready. I reduced the poly count to 3.9k vertices from over 30k. This is the first time I had retopologised a model like this and I was quite happy with the end result. Modelled and rendered in Blender with Cycles, textured in Substance Painter, high poly made in ZBrush.
