More model informationPhotogrammetry model of Medieval enclosure ditch in Trench 4 at Horndean, near Berwick. Excavated during volunteer dig as part of archaeological works undertaken during the Uncovering the Tweed Project. The large enclosure ditch is thought to relate to the presence of the nearby 12th century sites of Horndean Village, Church and burial yard, and St Leonards Hospital. The ditch contained a significant amount of Scottish White Gritty Ware and Red Ware, as well animal bone including species such as horse, dog and sheep emphasisiing the significance of this early medieval site.
