Medieval Hamam (Turkish bath) in Bač, Serbia

Hamam in Bač is the only medieval Turkish building of this kind in the region of Vojvodina in Serbia. Parts of the system for distribution of hot and cold wather in this bath are still preserved including the remains of the ceramic pipeline. It was built after the Battle of Mohach (1526) when the Turks have conquered this region, probably after 1578, and it was mentioned in the works of Evliya Çelebi, who visited Bac in 1665.
