Medieval Lime Kiln & Roman Wall
Lebanon, Kesrouan District, Qornet ed Deir. May/03/2019.
This lime kiln and adjacent fragment of Roman wall is one of five cultural heritage structures identified within the Jabal Moussa Reserve and surrounding region, documented as part of the Tahoun Project’s 2019 field season.
Photogrammetry was carried out in a rapid documentation context, moving between structures at 1-3 day intervals. Where feasible, structures were modelled inside and out, to obtain a detailed understanding of their functioning. Models were geo-referenced using the waypoint averaging function of two handheld GPS devices taking multiple samples over consecutive days.
