Meduso

A personal project, originally intended for a Halloween art jam on the theme ‘monsters’. As I’m all about trans rep, I wanted to explore what a trans ‘monster’ would look like. I picked Medusa/Meduso, because I like the re-writing of the Greek myths for a modern age and as empowering tales. Meduso wears a binder, he cut his hair (poor snakes!) and he holds up the head of Perseus in an echo of the old Greek statues, and in defiance against oppression.
