This was such a fun project to work on and the most I ever spent on a texture.

I knew I wanted to challenge myself in two areas, texturing with cloth and texturing with wet surfaces, hence Barometer Mat was the perfect choice. I’ve also played through the Bioshock franchise recently and that may have been a subsconcious influence as well. I knew I wanted a character that was more ominous than cute, hence Mat’s a little weatherman that tells us through his broken screen that there’s a storm coming. At one point I did feel ambitious and did toy with the idea of working with some cool kraken tentacles wrapping around him, and it is entirely possible, but I couln’t have created all the alphas in time.

Look forward to seeing everyone’s entries :)
