Update: Megumin v2 is finally finished. This version is fully rigged and has many different updates and fixes surrounding the mesh. Updates include slightly increasing the size of the hair mesh, fixed UV’s in certain spots, and removal of unnecessary mesh pieces. For the animation, I decided to create an idle stance for her with many different slight movements throughout the armature to hopefully make it as life-like as possible.
So I just recently got into the anime series Konosuba and it’s light novel series as well created by Natsume Akatsuki. At the same time, I’ve been learning how to build 3D models using Maya or Blender for the past 3 months, so I decided I wanted to challenge myself by creating my favorite character in the series which is Megumin. The softwares I used to create this model were Blender and Substance Painter for the textures. This project took me around 2 weeks to make and I’m still planning to rig this character model in the coming future for animating and possibly 3D printing.
