More model informationLocated in the south aisle of the church at Meifod in Powys. It is thought to date to the 9th century CE and may originally have covered a grave belonging to one of the Princes of Powys. The decoration includes some Viking influence in its design perhaps reflecting local incursions by Viking raiding recorded in the Anglo Saxon Chronicle in 894 AD.
