Meishō Line Series: A Mysterious Station in the Fields
This quiet countryside station, standing alone amidst vast rice fields, evokes an eerie sense of isolation — almost like a place out of time. Locals say there’s something unusual about it: no nearby houses, no shops, and barely a soul in sight. Its stillness feels unnatural, as if the station itself were waiting for something… or someone.
This scene has drawn comparisons to “Kisaragi Station,” a famous Japanese urban legend about a girl who boarded a train and found herself at a station not on any map — a place no one could reach or recognize. Much like that fictional station, this real-life stop on the Meishō Line gives off a surreal, dreamlike atmosphere.
