Description: Melanophlogite, besides having a great name, is a very rare mineral being found in only a few sites (e.g., Italy, USA, Japan, Russia). Melanophlogite occurs as regular cubes with a maximum size of a few millimetres on an edge, encrusting Sulphur, Calcite and ?Celestine crystals.
