More model information

3-D model of the excavated area at Metsamor, Armenia during the 2015 season. The joint Armenian-Polish team partially unearthed the remains of the domestic part of the Late Bronze Age III - Early Iron Age I/II settlement situated north from the citadel. The project is directed under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology.

The 3-D models were created by photogrammetry during a period of several days, hence the colour differences in the textures. The elevation differences are due to surface erosion during the documentation period and measurement/calculation errors no greater than 2cm along the Z axis. In the case of the burial, the skeleton has been removed for further study and conservation while the excavation of the trench continued till reaching the floor of the structure.
