Metskär galleon is 18m long and 5m wide. It is likely to have sunk over 400 years ago in late 1500’s. A pot from 1574 was found from the wreck site. The site extensively excavated in 1987, but one can still find the remains of two large anchors close to the bow. The stock of the larger anchor is some 3m long. The T-shaped crown part of that anchor has been raised upright by someone in 2020 or 2021.
The Finnish Heritage Agency (FHA) id for this wreck is 1512.
The model is based on videos shot in July 2021.
Orthomosaic is attached. See Download 3D Model / Additional file.
