Micro AUV, Hydrus Captures Reconstructed Seabed3D Model
Advanced Navigation’s micro-AUV, Hydrus is able to capture high resolution seabed imagery. Following its mission, Hydrus can be recovered by a single person before downloading the captured data using wifi. Final data processing was performed in Agisoft Metashape, where a 3D mesh was reconstructed using Structure from Motion (SfM) photogrammetry. The above 3D model shows the reconstructed seabed, with draped imagery, as well as the underlying bathymetric digital elevation model, captured by Hydrus.
