A toy brought from Canada at the turn of the 19th century by the Miller/Will sisters, who lived with their aunt Swanney in Stronsay after the death of their Inuit mother.
Dimensions: not recorded, about 735mm length.
Notes: from Ungava Bay, straps on deck more likely for attaching hunting equipment than to protect the paddler.
