Carved boulder in the Millstone Cleugh area, north of Longframlington, Northumberland.
Positioned approx. 30 metres west of the burn, this stone was recorded as ‘Millstone Burn 1L’ on Beckensall Archive (BA) and added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. The BA records a single oval shaped cup in eroded bedding planes, whilst NADRAP records:
“Features comprise grooves and a large oval, possibly the result of natural erosion. Similar features are found on other boulders in the vicinity.”
