Mini 4WD toy car

3D Model

This 3D model represents a toy car from the manga/anime Bakusō Kyōdai Let’s & Go!! The car is about 13 cm long and its name is Hurricane Sonic. The manga centers on Retsu and Go Seiba, twin brothers who focus on the world of miniature car racing known as Mini 4WD.

This object has been digitised for a project part of the course “Creating Digital Collections I” at Maastricht University. The monochromatic areas of the car were problematic and the software had a hard time to recognize them. To overcome this problem the car was humified and then dipped in flour to create texture.

The 3D model was created with the software Agisoft Metashape, using 107 pictures of the car.
