The artefact is a miniature ceramic axe that has been decorated with regular rows of fingernail notches. These components extend circumferentially across the entirety of the axe body, with the exception of the rounded butt. The miniature axe is perforated in a parallel orientation to the cutting edge, which itself is characterised by a sharp edge. It could be interpreted as a pendant or a toy.
