Miniature frame, 1575-16003D Model
Miniature frame, 1575-1600, by an unknown Dutch artist, now in Mia’s collection.
This hand-mirror is part of a group that all derive from the same Flemish workshop: other examples are in the Louvre and the Art Gallery of Ontario. This example shows on the back a scene from the Biblical story of Daniel.

This model was scanned and produced with a research process that captures surface texture and specularity more accurately - the research is led by Michael Tetzlaff, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, as part of a research effort that began when Michael was a doctoral student in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. The work was supported by an NEH grant, and the grant team included UW-Stout, Cultural Heritage Imaging, and Mia.
This model presents textures generated by Kintsugi 3D Builder; more at Michael’s Github.
