Miranda Class ( Miranda II Lantree Variant)

This model represents the Miranda Class configured as the TNG era Miranda II variant. More specifically the USS Lantree as seen on TNG: “Unnatural Selection”.

Basicaly just a Miranda without the Rollbar. The Miranda II’s were meant to be support, and cargo vessels as the Lantrees role in that episode showed.

The real reason there is no rollbar in that episode is because the FX dept. couldnt get the rollbar lights to work on the miranda studio model. So they decided the ship would look just as good without it. Wise choice. Since the Reliant no miranda has ever been seen with working lights on the rollbar.
