The model displays an underwater zone that represents approximately 45 meters (top to bottom) by 40 meters (left to right) at its maximum measurements. It represents the place where a Portugese ship of the mid 16th century, called the San Sebastien wreck, loaded with Chinese Ming porcelaine, sunk when she hit a rock along Mozambique Island on her return from India. On the model, it is possible to see a canon of the ship (bottom left ; length : 3,10m) and areas of balast stones (center and left). Also, large pieces of woods can be observed at the top of the model, in a trench.

The underwater photo acquisition was done at the beginning of July 2018, by the diving team of the Octopus Foundation for the launch of the center of underwater archeology on the Island of Mozambique.
