This plasticine architectural model, created in 2019, was made by Michele and based on Rochester Castle.
Working with Age UK Kensington & Chelsea at a Memory Cafe, 3D printed models and the RIBA‘s collection of architectural images were used to inspire conversation and reminiscences about buildings and places, amongst a group of volunteers and people living with dementia. A creative activity followed, where everyone was given the opportunity to use plasticine to model a building that they knew, had meaning for them, imagined or saw in RIBA’s images.
This 3D model was scanned by the RIBA’s Learning team, from the plasticine original, using a Matter and Form Desktop 3D Scanner funded by a grant from the London Museum Development Measuring Up Programme.
