Model For A Press Mould

3D Model

This is a wooden model aimed for the preparation of a sand mould. The sand mould would then be used to cast a cast-iron mould in two parts. The cast-iron mould will then be used to press a glass candle-holder with the shape of the interior cavity seen in this 3D-model. The height of the model is 130 mm while the height of the final glass product will be 95 mm. The final glass product will be able to host a candle 30 mm in diameter. The original can be seen at Bergdala Glastekniska Museum.

Detta är en gjutmodell av trä från Alvesta Mekan och Modell kring vilken formas en sandform. Sandformen används för att gjuta en tvådelad järnform. Järnformen används som form vid pressning av en ljushållare av glas. Ljushållarens yttre form motsvarar hålet i trämodellen. Hela gjutmodellens höjd är 130 mm medan ljushållarens höjd blir 95 mm. Ljuset kan ha en diamter av 30 mm. Originalet finns att se på Bergdala Glastekniska Museum.
