Model of a power hammer
1933, Mościce, Poland
Model of a power hammer powered by compressed air. An electric motor, which, via a leather transmission belt, sets in motion a flywheel that drives the compressor in the hammer body. Compressed air sets in motion a powerful piston. The model shows the structural elements of the device: a set of levers that allow you to adjust the force of the piston’s impact and a foot mechanism that activates the piston. The system of pressure rollers of the transmission belt and the screws securing the piston structural elements, are visible. The oil tank with a glass window shows the fluid level.
