More model informationThe upper portion of a faience model scribal palette. On the left-hand side of the scene, the god Thoth is depicted wearing a divine kilt and carrying an ankh and was-sceptre. On the right-hand side of the scene is (presumably) the palette’s owner (Payeftjawemawyaset) holding a scribal palette in his hand. The central figure is that of a king wearing a nemes-cloth and a New Kingdom style kilt with a flared apron. Above the king are a series of rather ill-defined hieroglyphs, which can be read as “the Good God, Djehutiemhat, given life”. Djehutiemhat was a local king at Hermopolis and is attested on three other documents. This model scribal palette provides the only attested representation of Djehutiemhat.
